Community Child Care Center’s mission is to provide a safe, affordable, quality child care center for the children of Staunton and surrounding communities.

Community Child Care Center’s vision is a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment within a family-centered atmosphere.

The goals of the Community Child Care Center are to provide a child day care that meets the developmental needs of young children and:

  • Offer experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, and creative development.
  • Encourage each child to create; explore the environment; learn problem-solving and personal interaction skills; and learn concepts through first-hand experiences. 
  • Enable children to develop a positive self-concept through a balance of self and teacher directed activites, emphasizing solitary play.
  • Provide staff who serve as positive role models, and provide care that is supportive, nurturing, warm, and responsive to each child’s individual needs.
  • Foster the idea that parents and teachers are partners in children’s care and education.
